As soon as I opened the door, the majestic silhouette of Seongsan Ilchulbong (Seongsan Sunrise Peak) hung like a picture frame beyond the panoramic windows.

Since the shop is located right above the water, the sound of the waves echoed faintly in my ears. The warm indoor atmosphere, which seemed to blend the scent of the salty sea with a woody aroma, was quite impressive. The wooden tables arranged in rows gave the space a bright and cheerful feel, and sitting by the sun-drenched window, I even had the illusion that I was dining on a ship. Here, I truly felt the difference between just looking at the sea and becoming one with it.

Enjoy the sea of Seongsan to your heart's content, along with the afternoon sunlight reflecting off the wooden tables. Since it is located right in front of the sea rather than in the middle of a crowded tourist area, I was able to enjoy the atmosphere of Jeju even more calmly.

While Seongsan Ilchulbong is famous, simply taking a light walk along the coastal roads starting from Seongsan Haechon allows you to fully enjoy the hidden wonders that Jeju offers. After finishing my meal here, I took a light-hearted walk along the Ilchulbong trail, and it was so refreshing to walk while feeling the sea breeze.

Also, if you have time, consider expanding your route to Seopjikoji or Gwangchigi Beach nearby. Gwangchigi Beach, in particular, is the best spot to view Seongsan Ilchulbong from a different angle, so it is perfect for continuing the lingering emotions from Seongsan Haechon. This place is more than just a spot to grab a meal; it is a space that seems to have moved the nature of Jeju onto the table. If you want to breathe closer to the sea while passing through Seongsan, this will certainly be a choice you won't regret.
